Duff red card by duff referee overturned.
As Dyche said , it wasn't a difficult decision.

BFFS said something in his programme notes a few weeks back that made me wonder if he has been playing the like of Jarvis and Cole to 'put them in the shop window' and attract a buyer for them... little does he realise that it has the opposite effect!

Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
Yeah he definitely should have had more game time!

Must be frustrating for the players concerned.

Makes you wonder why we've gone with Cole instead of Nene previously.

Well, we know why, but you know what I mean.

DukeofDevo 1:48 Tue May 5
Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
Nene did very well, had the last kick of the match and forced a finger tip save, also busting a gut to get forward in support.

We were worth another couple of goals on Saturday and had good clear cut chances

Must do better against Villa!

I thought NENE looked good when he came on.

- One nil up against the bottom team
- They've just down to ten men
- Penultimate home match of the season
- The opposition couldn't score in a brothel

Does he change it to go more attacking with, dare I say it, two up front? No. He sticks with the safe option.

Fuck off BFS, and take you 'respect the clean sheet' bollocks with you.

"Just watched the game again on match of the day and, if it hadn't been for the keeper we could have won by 4 or 5."

I watched it too stomper. I thought the same but I also watched the game on a stream and felt like it was a defeat even though we won. I guess I don't feel proud of beating the 10 man bottom of the league by playing to avoid defeat...

According to physioroom, there are no return date...

Stomper, if it hadn't been for Adrian we could have lost it 1-3

I agree there is no point of Song in the side with Downing out wide and Nolan in the middle.

Song seems to have come to the very same conclusion.

cornish 8:24 Sun May 3
Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
I actually think we play better without him in the side at the moment song that is.

greek hammer 7:33 Sun May 3
Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
Playing Nolan instead of Song is beyond comprehension....Song may not be in top form but he can still run rings around Nolan who's burned toast.

Hammer and Pickle 4:07 Sun May 3
Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
And don't get me started about Downing being left to LANGUISH out on the wing stirling.

Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
Dapablo,
The fact that we struggled to win against a 10 man, bottom of the table side that's what's not to like.

Sometimes teams do play out of their skins but Burnley didn't. SA set the side up not to let a goal in and we struggled to create clear openings like we have the last 3 seasons. That's what is not to like.

If you cannot understand that then clearly you are just another clueless football supporter with low expectation levels.

Re: West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
Agree pickle...

The tactics v Liverpool and Man City at home should have adopted for every game. We would have won more than we lost post Xmas...

SAMs failure to develop the above tactics throughout the club ie kids, development ...was exposed with his reversion to dinosaur tactics since December.

Time to move on.

If you base league position on wages surely the fact he came third in his first season would be seen as a failure then???as our budget that season dwarfed anything in that division
